What this year’s report reveals
Produced in collaboration by leading WordPress agencies, hosting partners and The Scale Consortium, this year’s State of Enterprise WordPress (SOEWP) report lifts the lid on how enterprise brands and publishers are leveraging WordPress to power digital experiences at scale. We unpack the key findings from the report:
Drawing on insights from enterprises including Amnesty International, Google and News UK – the report provides a clear snapshot of how large scale organizations are utilizing WordPress today and where the platform is heading next.
Shifts in usage
This year’s results saw an underlying theme on how enterprises are embracing WordPress, and experiencing its many benefits beyond the engineering team. Participation in the survey from both Marketing and Leadership roles increased this year, highlighting the diversification of the platform and the departments it supports across an organization. Additionally, 53% of respondents stated the CMS is used by at least 50 people, further highlighting WordPress’ adoption from large-scale teams.
We also saw an increased dependence on the platform from this year’s findings, with the majority of respondents (83%) using WordPress on a daily basis, demonstrating how integral the platform has become to enterprises for routine tasks.

Commitment to open-source
Enterprise involvement in open-source continues to grow, with 66% of those surveyed stating they are actively contributing to the platform, a 5% increase on the previous year. This growing participation from big brands is helping to strengthen the platform and solidify its suitability for large-scale organizations.

Continued long-term loyalty
Additionally, the results confirm that enterprise organisations still see strong value in WordPress. 82% of respondents rated their return on investment as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’, along with 95% confirming they plan to use the platform long-term.

Growing momentum
The 2025 findings showcase WordPress as a platform that continues to gain momentum in both capability and dependability for enterprises. The platform, once a simple blogging tool, now firmly sits at the centre of a wide range of enterprise setups, from fast-paced newsrooms to multifaceted marketing operations. More departments are becoming reliant on WordPress and strongly value its capability when it comes to complex publishing processes.
Confidence in long-term commitment to the platform also remains particularly strong. Almost all respondents stated they intended to continue using WordPress and an increased proportion showing strong advocacy. This suggests an exciting outlook for the enterprise WordPress ecosystem and shows that support of the platform is not only holding steady, but intensifying. As major brands and publishers look to stay ahead of the curve and keep their audiences engaged, WordPress continues to deliver and demonstrate its value through usability, versatility and execution.
Overall, this year’s findings demonstrate how WordPress is firmly embedded in enterprise digital strategy, supported by an engaged community who not only rely on the platform, but contribute to its evolution.
